In The Immortal words of Fred Flintstone: YABBA DABBA DOO!!!

It is Friday, and all I am waiting on is for Mr. Slate to blow that 5 o'clock whistle...and my ass is outtie!! My plans for the weekend are up for debate at the present moment. It seems Jackson's coach entered the team at the last minute in a tournament in League City...and Mike said, "Sure, the Blues are in..." uh wait, maybe I should have check that WITH MY WIFE FIRST, because now my ass is IN THE DOG HOUSE. I had no intention, and still have no intention of hauling my ass back and forth between League City and The Woodlands all weekend long. Have fun Mikey.
I need to spend some time with my other child. In all the baseball hoo hoo that is always going on, she sometimes gets overlooked on the weekends. We either make her go with us to such fun and exciting places as Cy Fair, or League City...or...oooohhhh...Kingwood or she doesn't go with us and she ends up just staying at home all weekend...alone...that ain't good!!! I think I will take her shopping, and maybe to a movie or something like that...who knows. What I do know is that tonight we are going to go and kill about 15 pounds of crawfish and several pitchers of beer!!

That ought to just about do it!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

It Is The Strangest Thing...

For two months now I have been unable to get to my blog at work..."Suspicious Content is Forbidden at JP Morgan...blah blah blah." Today I found some backdoor way to post an entry...now mind you I still cannot actually LOOK at my blog...but I can post to it. Weird, I know...but don't fault me if stuff isn't lined up well or if it looks bad. I can't look at it to preview anything.
There hasn't been TOO much going on in the life of the Blues since last I posted though. Jackson is playing baseball again, and Jordan is growing like a weed...13 going on 23...as you can see from this picture...
Jackson's team moved up to 8U Elite baseball...a lot harder, but they seem to be doing fine. They got 2nd place in a tournament this weekend. Another trophy for the closet...we REALLY gotta get some shelves in his room...
Spring has FINALLY sprung here in Southeast Texas. I never thought I would be ready for some warmer weather, but I was getting SICK TO DEATH of all the cold. Now I know we are about to go from 42 degrees everyday to 92 degrees, and this LOVELY 72 degree weather is just a blip on the radar, but I am really loving it!! I think it is time to go and gas up the boat, give it a little tune up, and get it into some water...somewhere!! My goal for the summer is to have both the kids kneeboarding by the time they go back to school. Hope everything is going well for you and yours!! Love...L

Mid-Winter Blues

Ok...so it is Feb 5th, and the weather here in Houston has been a miserable, wet, overcast 40 something degrees for over a week now. I now know I would NEVER make it somewhere like...for instance..."Forks Washington."...sorry Edward Cullen!! I need some SUNSHINE!!

Now I know I am a fickle person, a fair weather friend...I say this because if you look back to my July and August posts, I am SURE you will find posts saying that I HATE all the hot weather, and am ready for some cooler wetter stuff...but enough is enough!!I think I am feeling this way because I just booked a beach house in Destin for a week in June for my niece Vonda's wedding, AND I am listening to Kenny's "Be As You Are" album...which as ANY Kenny Chesney fan knows is an album about nothing but how great it is to be on an island somewhere!! It is my ALL TIME favorite Kenny music...if you haven't checked it out, YOU NEED TO! Although I will warn you that once you have listened to it, you will begin to have longings for a more laid back life on an island somewhere!!

Not much else to report!! Love to all...L

Update: God MUST have heard me whining, because it is Saturday morning and there isn't a cloud in the sky!! Thank You Father!!!

OF ALL THE VIRUSES...

I get one that links you and ALL YOUR FACEBOOK FRIENDS to a porn site!! Yep you read it right, I have the "Invitation" virus. It looks innocent enough, an e-mail from one of your Facebook friends saying..."Hey check out this cool video". There is what APPEARS to be a link to You Tube...NOT...it downloads a virus that not only takes you to a porn web site EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU GET ON THE INTERNET, but it sends the same innocent e-mail out to all of your friends!! Yep, I hit the link that my sweet friend Cheryl supposedly sent me...I AM A...

Oh well...lesson learned, until they put some other tricky as shit virus out there!!

Moving on...crawfish season is almost upon us...I am toughening up my fingers now!! I loves me some...

...seriously, I could eat my weight in the little suckers. God my mouth is watering right now!!

Great...NOBAMA is on the TVs here at work telling America how he is going to keep banks from making any money, taking on any risk,...I think I better dust off the old resume, AGAIN...

WAAAA-UGH-Sigh

After two GLORIOUS weeks off, it was time, I had to trudge my poor sad ass back to the "Uber" bank today...picture the Wicked Witch of the West's soldiers as they entered the castle...heads down singing "OH WEE OH OHHHH OH"...
It has been a pretty un-eventful day, considering it is a month-end, quarter-end, and year-end...tomorrow will be worse I'm sure.
Christmas and New-Years were great...enjoyed all the more by the fact that I didn't have to work during any of it. The kids got most of the stuff they asked for...and a few things they didn't. Jordan got her iPod touch and Jackson got an iPod Shuffle and a Nintendo DSI. Hopefully everyone reading this had a great Christmas season and is ready to start off what is SURE to be a much better year than 2009. I am still working on my "resolutions" list, so I will update on that later. Love to all...L

The Longest Week EVER!!!

When I leave the JP Morgan Christmas party Thursday night, I will not be back until 01/04/2010!! I am SOOOOOOO excited!! One of the few nice things about working for JPMC is that they require you to take a two week absence from the office on a yearly basis. So instead of starting with 2 or 3 weeks of vacation, you start with four. Well, mine is rapidly approaching!!! However, if the rest of the week goes by as slow as today has, it is going to take FOREVER.
Mike's family has a big Christmas party every year...we attended that Saturday night. I can promise you, there were some VERY hungover people around Sunday!! There was a karaoke machine, which I must report was hogged A LOT by my son and husband...
Yes, they are closet Karaoke freaks!! Mike actually sang a song that was NOT "Neon Moon!!' It was a load of fun...especially for those who were doing Jager Bombs and sucking down whiskey and 7's!! Case in point...meet Drunk, Drunkee, Drunker and Drunkest...not necessarily in that order!!

Fa La La La La....La La-La-Laaaaaa

Well, I FINALLY got my Christmas decorations out! The tree is up...
The stockings are hung by the chimney with care...
The wreath is on the door...THANKS Troop 772...
And my little helpers are all pooped out...

While I do miss my sweet little baby angel, I must admit I LOVE having an "almost" teenage daughter!! I can use anything and everything going on in her life to make her behave, help out, rub my feet...JUST KIDDING about the foot thing. It is great, it goes something like this... "Jordan, do you want to go to the movies tomorrow with your friends? Then you BETTER start helping me put up these Christmas decorations!!" "Jordan, do you want to go to Keaton's (her boyfriend) family Christmas party this Saturday? Then you BETTER make an A on both your Texas History AND Science tests this week!!" Tee hee hee...it is AWESOME!!! Hey...don't judge me!! ESPECIALLY if you are one of those "NON" breeder friends I have!!!

Anyway, Jackson has officially submitted his list for Christmas...and the good news is, I have already gotten A LOT of the stuff!! He still believes in the Fat Man in Red...but this is PROBABLY our last year for that. He told Mike and I the other day that these CRAZY girls in his YMCA after school group told him that there is no Santa Claus..."It is your parents dummy!" I asked him what he thought about that, and he said..."I told them I KNOW there is a Santa Claus, because he comes to my house EVERY year and brings me things that my Mom and Dad would NEVER buy for me!!" Gotta love him...
